The President’s Cup Swimming Tournament

The swimming competition which happens to be the 2nd edition was put up by the Ghana Swimming Association and saw swimming clubs like Dolphins Swimming Center, Legon Sharks, Torpedos, Ghana Dolphins, Marlins Swim Team, Aquatic Masters, Blue fins, Dolphins Swimming Club – Kumasi and African Sharks, coming together to exhibit their skill and unearth their swimming talents as well.

The purpose was to provide the platform for swimmers to develop and identity talents for the various national swimming teams and also to sensitize the general public about swimming as a sport that can give Ghana medals at international competition. Legon sharks emerged as the overall winners of the tournament.

Dolphins Swimming Center also won 7 medals. 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze. An improve from last year’s edition where we won only 3 medals.

Organizers expressed their profound gratitude to all who were able to make it to the event and also showed their joy to the interest the sports in gaining at the moment.

Also, a plea was made for support for subsequent editions from individuals and corporate bodies.

The announcement has been met with enthusiasm and support from fans and stakeholders, with hopes for its swift completion and positive impact on the club’s future.

This ambitious project, fully funded by His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will be executed in multiple phases. Today marks the beginning of Phase One.
