A massive fire broke out at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in the Greater Accra region, behind ECOMOG, around 4pm on Wednesday June 5, 2024. The fire engulfed over 100 wooden structures, including shops and buildings, causing significant damage.

The cause of the inferno is not immediately known, but fire fighters are having a herculean task containing the fire. According to Super Scary, an eyewitness, the blaze broke out around 4pm, engulfing the structures and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

This suggestion was made during a meeting with a World Bank delegation in Accra.
