The event organized every year during Easter celebrations with the aim of impacting lives came off as expected. For over 10 decades Radio Maxx has been able to put up this amazing program to help needy street children across the streets of Sekondi-Takoradi (the twin city).

This years event saw children from all works of life queuing to have a feel of what Radio Maxx had to offer.

The target of the event this year was to feed about 8,000 street kids and to some extent it was achieved with the help of some cooperate bodies and individuals in Western Region, to mention a few;

  2. Happy Tummy Foods
  3. Individuals
  4. Roland Rice
  5. Trillium
  6. N Pack Mineral Water
  7. Green Calabash Rentals

and many more

The at Radio Maxx were very grateful to all those who helped in any ways possible to make this event a success and assured the general public that next year will be extraordinary.

Privatising ECG will be considered to improve power distribution – John Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has indicated that the privatization of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is being considered as a strategy to address inefficiencies in power distribution within the country.

This suggestion was made during a meeting with a World Bank delegation in Accra. Mahama emphasized the need for private sector involvement to fix systemic issues within ECG, reflecting on past initiatives like the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) project under his Vice Presidency which aimed at enhancing Ghana’s electricity sector efficiency.

He argued that without addressing the inefficiencies at ECG, Ghana would continue to face challenges in its entire power value chain.
