Daniil Medvedev DOWNS World No.1
Taking to centre court on Tuesday 9th July, 2024 at Wimbledon, the world of tennis no.1 seed Jannik Sinner came up with no.5 seed Daniil Medvedev in what was suppose to be more of an ATP finals.
The clash which was the first game of the quarterfinals of Wimbledon came calling. In a five (5) sets game thriller Daniil Medvedev defeats world number one (1) Jannik Sinner 6-7 6-4 7-6 2-6 6-3 to reach the Wimbledon semi-final.
Medvedev becomes one (1) of four (4) men to beat the world #1 three times or more at a Grand Slam alongside Rafa Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka.
Medvedev awaits winner of Carlos Alcaraz/Tommy Paul to fix a semifinals date.
