ECG and GRIDCo announces 3 weeks dum sor due to gas challenge from Nigeria
The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) are in a bit of a pickle. The West Africa Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) is undergoing maintenance, causing a reduction in gas supply to Ghana. This has led to a reduction in overall power generation capacity, resulting in load management—or in layman’s terms, power outages (Dumsor) – for the next three (3) weeks.
