Jack Grealish, Harry Maguire and many others left out of England squad for Euro 2024
Jack Grealish, along with Harry Maguire and James Maddison, has been left out of England’s final squad for Euro 2024. Gareth Southgate made the decision to omit these players ahead of the tournament in Germany.
Maguire expressed his disappointment on social media, citing an injury to his calf as the reason for his absence. Maddison also acknowledged that his form for Spurs after returning from injury wasn’t at the desired level.
Southgate on James Maddison and Jack Grealish out of England squad: “Madders and Jack, both give us something different, so it was a tough call”. “Both of those boys are fantastic characters and great teammates”.
The England squad features other talented players, including Jordan Pickford, Harry Kane, and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The team’s first Euro 2024 match is against Serbia on June 16, followed by games against Denmark and Slovenia.
