Osman Bukari has signed a new contract with Austin FC, a Major League Soccer team. He joins the club on a 3 1/2-year guaranteed contract, with an option for 2028, as one of the team’s Designated Player signings.

Bukari, a 25-year-old Ghanaian international winger, comes to Austin FC from Red Star Belgrade, where he had a successful stint, scoring 25 goals and making 20 assists in 78 appearances across all competitions. This transfer is pending receipt of Bukari’s ITC and P-1 visa.

The move comes after Austin FC waived Designated Player Emiliano Rigoni and bought out the remainder of his guaranteed contract.

Bukari is expected to bolster the team’s attacking options and will be eligible for selection once the MLS Secondary Transfer Window opens on July 18, 2024.
