Kevin De Bruyne has reached a significant milestone in his illustrious career by equalling Cesc Fabregas for the second-most assists in Premier League history. This achievement was marked in a match against Fulham on May 11, 2024, where De Bruyne’s assist to Josko Gvardiol for Manchester City’s opening goal brought his tally to 111 assists.

It’s worth noting that De Bruyne accomplished this feat in a mere 258 matches, a staggering 92 fewer games than Fabregas. The only player ahead of them now in the all-time assist rankings is Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, who holds the record with 162 assists.

This remarkable feat not only cements De Bruyne’s status as one of the Premier League’s greatest playmakers but also sets the stage for an exciting chase towards Giggs’ record in the seasons to come.

The Belgian’s most popular player for setting up goals has been Sergio Aguero, whom he assisted 19 times at City. Of current City players, Erling Haaland leads the way with 11.
