A fire outbreak occurred at the Anlo Community of the Shama District, Ghana, on April 17, 2024. The incident was believed to have been triggered by electricity supply lines, which resulted in the destruction of about seven households and other properties.

The fire caused the loss of properties worth thousands of cedis, including cash, personal belongings, and roofs. Victims appealed to the government and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) for support in reconstructing their structures. Samuel Borlu, the Assemblyman for the community, donated food items and cash to support the victims and called upon the state and the ECG to take responsibility for the fire outbreak.
