Following the eminent power crisis being experienced across Ghana, a video of the National Intensive Care Unit of the Tema General Hospital has emerged on social media showing how the term “Dumsor” is not spared on health delivery.
The video with credit from AdomFmOnline showed how the ward was clouded in total darkness as the Hospital was without electricity supply.
It is not known who the identity of the person that recorded the video was, but reports says it might be a staff at the Hospital. She gave a context to the video; “There is light out here at the Tema General Hospital. This baby is on Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and all of it have gone off. While there is oxygen available, there is no flow meter to connect. If we don’t get light in few minutes, the probability that we might lose a lot of babies is high”
Few hours after this video was released the unfortunate happened and a baby lost His/Her life at the Tema General Hospital purely due to the negligence of one or two people in top positions at the Hospital and also in government, plenty questions to ask but no answers, and if you force an answer their stupidity comes to bare
