Adidas is set to become Liverpool Football Club’s kit supplier starting from the 2025-26 season, marking a return after a 13-year hiatus.

The agreement between Adidas and Liverpool is expected to last for five years, running through to 2030. This deal is financially significant, with reports suggesting Liverpool will earn over £60 million per year from this partnership, which is higher than their current deal with Nike.

There’s considerable excitement among fans about the potential designs, especially given Adidas’s history of producing some of Liverpool’s most iconic kits.

Leaks and conceptual designs for the 2025-26 season have already surfaced, indicating a throwback design for the home kit that harkens back to the 2006-07 season, featuring red with white trims and the iconic three stripes. The away kit concepts have leaned towards classic looks in green, a color associated with Liverpool’s history with Adidas.

Adidas has previously supplied kits for Liverpool twice before, with spells from 1985 to 1996 and from 2006 to 2012. This new partnership revives that collaboration, which fans fondly remember for both the design and the success on the pitch during those periods.

The news has generally been met with excitement, as fans look forward to potentially iconic designs and the nostalgia of past kits. There’s an expectation for Adidas to not only produce high-quality kits but also to incorporate elements of Liverpool’s rich footballing heritage into the designs.

For Adidas, this deal is part of a broader strategy to strengthen its presence in football, especially after losing the contract to supply kits for the German national team. Liverpool’s global fanbase and the club’s history make this partnership a high-profile move for Adidas.

This move back to Adidas for kit supply is seen as not just a commercial agreement but a cultural and nostalgic return for Liverpool fans, promising both modern innovation and a nod to the club’s storied past.
