Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh Apologizes for Presidential Remarks: The social media buzz after
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 election, has issued an apology for comments he made comparing Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, with President Akufo-Addo.
Prempeh clarified that his intention was not to denigrate Nkrumah or any other president and expressed regret for any discomfort caused by his remarks. He emphasized his respect for all former presidents and their contributions to Ghana’s history.
However a section on the media are of the view that his release is a clear contradiction to a point raised in one of his paragraphs.
