Ink Boy, the talented Nigerian singer, expressed his disappointment after being left out of the official video for the collaboration track “One Million Cedis” with Ghanaian rap heavyweight Sarkodie. The song was originally featured on Sarkodie’s 2022 “Jamz” album

Ink Boy, who lent his vocals to the hit song, took to Twitter to share his feelings. He revealed that he had repeatedly requested to be part of the project but was consistently declined. Despite his appreciation for being included in the album, he expressed a desire for more opportunities to showcase his talent. Ink Boy’s heartfelt tweets highlighted his dedication to his craft and his longing for recognition:

“Sincerely, I know this might come off weird, and people will tag me as ungrateful. But I put blood and sweat into every song, and I deserve to be shown genuine love. It’s sad, King @sarkodie. I literally beg for every small chance to show myself, but it’s declined.”

He further emphasized his admiration for Sarkodie while expressing his need for recognition:

“I get mad love for King @sarkodie. Allah knows this from my heart. But why don’t I ever get a small chance? I appreciate being put on the record, but you’re like a dad to me. Treat me like a son too. I’m independent, and you know how bad I need this. If not now, then never.”

The official video for “One Million Cedis” was released on Monday, showcasing the scenic beauty of Mykonos, Greece. Despite the disappointment, Ink Boy’s vocals continue to resonate in the hit track, leaving a lasting impression on listeners

Ink Boy’s heartfelt plea highlights the complexities of collaboration in the music industry, where artists strive for recognition and acknowledgment for their contributions. Hopefully, future opportunities will allow him to shine even brighter alongside Sarkodie and other artists
