Renewable Energy Engineering Students From The University of Energy and Natural Resources Attacked By Robbers With One Loosing His Life
About 80 renewable energy engineering students from the University of Energy and Natural Resources were victims of a violent robbery during their return from a field trip to Bui Dam.
This incident took place on April 16, 2024, while the students were returning from a field trip to the Bui Dam. They were ambushed by armed robbers who stole their phones, laptops, money and some sexually abused. Tragically, one student, Abdul Aziz Issah, a final-year student, was shot and later died from his injuries.
This event has caused shock and sadness among the university community, and condolences have been extended to the family and friends of the deceased student.
